When starting an exterior paint job, a thorough cleaning is typically our first step. Dirt is removed during the pressure wash and stains identified for later priming. No primer, caulk or paint is ever applied until surfaces have dried to proper moisture levels.
If your siding has not been cared for properly since the last paint job, we lay protective tarps to reduce the mess created by falling paint chips and scrape off the loose paint. This ensures the landscaping around your home or business stays remains clean. Window, door handles and locks, light fixtures, decks, patios, etc. are also covered with masking and tarps. Landscaping will also be protected with lightweight tarps to protect shrubbery and foliage.
An appropriate primer is applied depending on your project’s specific needs.
Any stains, new wood, or other building materials that need to be sealed prior to painting get a coat of primer. Where cracked and failing caulk is located, old caulk will be cut out to provide an open joint where we apply new caulk.
As our professionals complete the preparation, any nails and screws that you want remove will be pulled out and holes filled.
